İnternet araştırma etiği, çeşitli bilim alanlarında yapılan araştırma için internetin kullanılmasının etik konumunun irdelenmesidir. Bu konudaki tartışmalardan biri de araştırmalarda Vikipedi'nin kullanılıp kullanılmayacağıdır. Genel kanı, internetteki kamusal ve özel alanların giderek bulanıklaştığıdır. Ancak bu kanıya tümü Vikipedi'yle ilişkili birtakım itirazlar bulunmaktadır. Özellikle, anket çalışması gibi çalışmaları kullanan araştırmacılar katılımcıların kimliğini gizlemek konusunda zorlanabilir.
